Well someone thinks so ………
Government says face masks can keep you safe

As the United Kingdom emerges from more than three months of lockdown, many challenges lay ahead. According to the latest reports, there are still more than 290,000 active cases of the Coronavirus and preventing the on-set of a second-wave remains a top priority for public health officials. However, medical experts unanimously agree that face masks and several other preventative measures that can be taken by the general public to help reopen safely.
Public health officials urge people to continue to wear face masks, wash their hands frequently, practice social distancing, and stay informed on the latest health policies. The use of face masks serves as one of the most effective strategies for reducing the transmission of COVID-19. The Coronavirus spreads “primarily through droplets expelled when an infected person coughs, sneezes, sings, talks or even breathes. Some infections may also be caused by people touching a contaminated surface and then their mouth, nose or eyes.”
1. Face Masks

Face masks have continually been proven to be an effective way to reduce the transmission of these droplets. A recent study by Britain’s Cambridge and Greenwich Universities concluded that until a vaccine can be developed, the widespread use of face masks combined with social distancing guidelines are essential steps moving forward[1] The World Health Organization has also suggested that the use of face masks can greatly reduce the potential for future waves and the possibility of another lockdown. In fact, in more than 50% of scenarios, the widespread use of face masks reduces the chances for exponential growth tremendously.

There is often a question as to which type of face mask is the most effective to help mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus and lessen the potential for a second-wave. N95 masks typically make the top of the list because of their use in healthcare facilities and hospitals. However, they are very expensive, often uncomfortable to wear, and in limited supply. In fact, health officials urge people to reserve the use of these masks for healthcare workers. Fortunately, there is plenty of research to suggest that single-use and FFP2 face masks offer a similar level of protection and are an effective measure to control the spread of disease. These types of masks are much more cost effective and widely available. One study by the World Healthcare Organizations has shown that they can even reduce the risk by as much as 82%. While the United Kingdom hasn’t reached a requirement for universal mask wearing, another study shows that even if 80% of the population did so the curve could flatten significantly. Personalised face masks ensure you only use your own.
2. Hand Soap and Hand Sanitisers

In addition to face masks, frequent hand washing is also another layer of defense that public health officials are urging people to focus on. Current guidance recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water as much as possible. Research has also continually shown that if soap is unavailable, hand sanitizer is another valuable option. By using a sufficient amount of gel to cover both of your hands and fingers and rubbing thoroughly for at least 30 seconds, studies show that this practice can quickly reduce the amount of microbes responsible for the Coronavirus. Promotional soap gives companies the chance to ensure staff keep up with this practice
3. Social Distancing Signage

Businesses and organizations across nearly every industry have had to adjust many of the most basic aspects of their operations. Many of them simply have no choice but to reduce their number of employees, adjust hours, alter the number of services offered, and the list goes on. When considering all of the recent policy changes and the continual state of uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, there may be no substitute for the value of proper communication and signage with regards to health and safety guidelines. Particularly, when it comes to social distancing, having well-designed and clearly visible signage is critical. But, in order to maintain a high-standard of safety, hand washing signs, informational pamphlets, and medical flyers must be available as well.
